Carla Roush
Funeral Care & Administrative Assistant

Carla joined Jackman Hensley in the Spring of 2022 where she thoroughly enjoys working with people in person and on the phone along with managing office needs. “It’s truly a blessing and honor to work alongside owners, and as a team, who have a heart for serving the community in their most vulnerable season of life.”

Living most of her life in Bright, Indiana, with 20 of those years in Harrison, Ohio, Carla graduated from ECHS and went on to receive an Associate’s degree from Cincinnati Technical College. Over the years, she has made many friends and acquaintances around the Tri-State through her careers. She has spent over 36 years of service to the public in customer care, as a secretary/receptionist, and in sales, being able to utilize her administrative and management skills in both the small and corporate world. In the most recent years, Carla found herself caregiving for many in need leading her to inquire working part-time for Jackman Hensley.

On her days off, Carla and her dear husband and best friend, John, can likely be found sharing quality time together, spending much of that time working together on their Southeastern Indiana farm where they raise cattle and chickens, bale hay, and garden. She also works alongside him in ministry for the Lord. They make many opportunities to spend time with their seven children, Dylan, Ashley, Thomas, Ezra, Bradley, Matthew, and Jack (along with the significant others), taking in the beauty of God’s Creation on hikes together throughout their farm, and when wind therapy calls, she and John hop onto their Harleys and ride the countryside when able. They are most recently excited to learn they will become first-time grandparents to two grandchildren expected the latter part of 2025.
