About Us

During a time of loss, you need the help of compassionate experts who can offer guidance and support throughout the planning process. At Jackman Hensley Funeral Home, we believe that every life deserves to be celebrated. Our mission is to assist families in creating personalized funeral experiences that honor the life of their loved ones.

For many years, we have served our community by providing healing and meaningful funeral and memorial services that honor life and meet the needs of those who grieve. Our hope is that from the moment you walk through our doors, you feel welcomed, respected, and heard.

History

In 1935, the funeral home was named the Jackman-Bullock Funeral Home when Eugene Jackman and Edwin Bullock became proprietors. In 1948, Mr. Bullock left to pursue other interests, and Mr. Jackman was later joined by Ronald and Judy Kercheval in 1965. Brothers Rodger and Vernon Meyers began working with Mr. Kercheval in 1992, and upon Kercheval's retirement in 1997, the name changed to Jackman Kercheval Meyers Funeral Home.

In September of 1999, Chris Hensley, a fourth generation funeral director began working with Jackman Kercheval Meyers funeral home. As of July 2017, Chris along with his wife Carol, became the owners and operators of the business, newly naming it Jackman Hensley funeral home.

The funeral home has provided the families of Harrison and surrounding areas with comfort in their time of need for over a century. The building itself at 215 Broadway street has grown and changed with the years too, but one thing remains the same... it is still a respected locally family owned funeral home full of Harrison history and pride.
