Zella Russell-Freel

Zella Russell-Freel, age 83 years of Harrison, OH passed away Sunday, February 17, 2008 in Cincinnati, OH. Born April 6, 1924 in Taft, KY she was the daughter of the late Siles W. & Grova (Roberts) King. She married Homer Russell who preceded her in death, then married Kenneth Freel who also preceded her in death. She was a 1941 graduate of Harrison High School. She was a member of the Harrison Senior Citizens and sang in their choir. Mrs. Russell-Freel is survived by her children Linda (Thomas) Rumple of Indianapolis, IN; Donna (Larry) Whitham of Indianapolis, IN & Wendell L. (Bonnie Jean) Russell of Chappelow Ridge, IN. She will also be missed by her grandchildren: Shawn Russell, Kasey Collins, Nathan Rumple, Jeremy Whitham, Josh Whitham & Jonathan Whitham & great grandchildren Shelby & Jeffrey Lane Collins and siblings Melba Jean Sturgill of Bright, IN; Rufus B. King of Chappelow Ridge, IN & Ollie King of Dayton, OH. Visitation will be Wednesday, February 20, 2008 from 5-8PM at Jackman Kercheval Meyers Funeral Home in Harrison, OH. Services will be Thursday, February 21, 2008 at 10:00 AM at the funeral home with Winston Shelton officiating. Burial will be in Gibson Cemetery in Bright, IN. Memorials are suggested to the Susan G. Komen Breast Cancer Foundation or Indiana United Methodist Children's Home c/o the funeral home.
