Yvonne C. (Farrow) Leffingwell, of Harrison, Ohio, passed away peacefully surrounded by family on Thursday, January 1, 2026, at the age of 70 following a hard-fought battle with brain cancer. Yvonne was born in Hamilton, Ohio to Carl and Jaunis Mae (Mericle) Farrow on April 1,1955.
Yvonne was a proud graduate of the Whitewater High School class of 1973 where she met many of her lifelong friends who still spent time together as often as they could. After high school, she graduated from The Christ Hospital School of Nursing as a Registered Nurse. This began her many years of service in her passionate career, nearly all as an Emergency Room Nurse. Most notably, Yvonne worked for 38 years at the free-standing Emergency Department of Mercy Hospital (the PAC Center) in Harrison, Ohio. In addition, she simultaneously worked for 17 years for the Franklin County Community School Corporation as a school nurse in Brookville, Indiana.
Yvonne took advantage of every opportunity to travel to tropical destinations, where she loved to lay in the sun and take obligatory pictures of her feet to post on Facebook. Though work and travel kept Yvonne very busy, her family was the light of her life. Yvonne is survived by her children Aaron (Kasey Suding) Leffingwell of Brookville, Indiana and Ashley (Tom Morris) Leffingwell of West Chester, Ohio, as well as her granddaughters Kristen (Jacob Harry) Taylor and Kadence Leffingwell. Yvonne is also survived by her siblings Debbie Beiter of Centerville, Ohio, Doug (Marilyn) Farrow of St. Leon, Indiana and Mike (Ellen Feyka) of Cincinnati, Ohio as well as nieces, nephews and cousins.
In addition to her parents, Yvonne was preceded in death by her infant grandson, Kemper.
