Willie Ruth

Willie Ruth, age 87 years of Metamora, IN passed away Friday, November 11, 2005 in Cincinnati, OH. Born December 19, 1917 in Manchester, KY he was the son of the late Henry & Mary (Gregory) Ruth. He was a US Army Veteran during WWII, receiving the purple heart. He retired from Kaiser Hardware and after retirement enjoyed gardening. Mr. Ruth is survived by his wife of eleven years Gladys (Lynam) Ruth, son John C. Eversole, daughters Mary B. Stepp and Marie Edwards; Stepchildren Sandy Markland, Nina Guilfoyle, Mae Zurweller & Rosie Raible. He will also be missed by numerous Grandchildren, Great Grandchildren & Great Great Grandchildren. In addition to his parents, Mr. Ruth was preceded in death by his first wife of 47 years Mary Betty (Robinson) Ruth, 4 brothers and 2 sisters. Visitation will be Monday, November 14, 2005 from 5-8pm at Jackman Kercheval Meyers Funeral Home in Harrison, OH. Funeral Services will be Tuesday, November 15, 2005; 11:00 AM at Smyrna Baptist Church in New Trenton, IN with Rev. Shawn Crisman and Rev. Marvin Sams officiating. Burial will be in Gibson Cemetery in Bright, IN with graveside military rites by the Harrison Funeral Detail. Memorials are suggested to Smyrna Baptist Church Building Fund c/o the funeral home.
