William Slayback

William “Bill” Slayback, 78 of Harrison, OH passed away on Friday, January 20, 2017.  Born April 24, 1938 in Cincinnati, OH he was the son of Edward W. Slayback & Delores (Bedinghaus) Slayback.  He is survived by his loving wife of 52 years Shedna Rae (Woodrum) “Cookie” Slayback and his devoted children Kenneth Slayback of Harrison, OH; Tina Mullins of Karns, TN; Deborah (Mike) Parrott of Harrison, OH and Richard (Stephanie) Slayback of Okeana, OH.  Also survived by his grandkids Mikey Mullins of Fairview, OR, Tyler Mullins of Lafollette, TN, Shelby Lloyd of Clinton, TN & Ryan Parrott of Harrison, OH.

Survived by brothers George (Jeanine) Slayback, David (Elaine) Slayback, and sisters Karen (Wayne) Hamon, Nancy Hensley, Stella Slayback, Marcia (Doug) Wilks, Carrie (Paul) Yung and sister-in-law (Dixie Slayback.  Preceded in death by his parents Edward Slayback & Delores (Bedinghaus) Slayback, hiis siblings Ronald Slayback, Jean Gesell, & Marlene Slayback.

He graduated Ross High School class of 1956 then joined the Army from 1961 to 1964 while stationed in Fort Hood, TX. He enjoyed camping, boating, racing, playing ball, cards and especially his grandkids.  He will be missed by all.

Visitation will be Saturday, January 28, 2017 from 9:00am until time of services at 12:00pm at Jackman Kercheval Meyers Funeral Home, Harrison, OH with Pastor James Hansee officiating.  Burial will follow at Miamitown Cemetery with military honors by the Harrison Funeral Detail.

In lieu of flowers, memorials are suggested to Franklin County Antique Tractor Club of Brookville, IN or Southwest Local Special Olympics at Whitewater Valley School, Harrison, OH.
