William Lloyd Lay

William Lloyd Lay, age 84 of Florence, KY formerly of Harrison, OH passed away Saturday, July 9, 2011 at his home in Florence. Born October 18, 1926 in Scott County, Tennessee he was the son of the late Alonzo & Sue (Strunk) Lay. The Navy veteran was a truck driver for Ohio Delivery for 30+ years and a member of the Teamsters. He was married to Margaret (Luckett) Lay who preceded him in death in 1987. William is survived by his children Deborah (Jim) Scott of Okeana, OH; Mary Ann (Joe) Hunter of Mt. Carmel, IN; Laura Angel of Florence, KY & William L. (Helen) Lay Jr. of Brookville, IN. He will also be missed by 17 grandchildren, 15 great grandchildren and his sister Mary Martin. In addition to his parents and wife, he was preceded in death by his siblings Paul Lay & Charlie Martin. Visitation will be Tuesday, July 12, 2011 from 11am until time of services at 1:00pm all at Jackman Kercheval Meyers Funeral Home, Harrison, OH with Pastor Russell Lieb officiating. Burial will be in Arlington Memorials Gardens. Memorials are suggested to American Lung Assoc. c/o the funeral home.
