William "Tom" Hampton, age 67 of Harrison, OH passed away Friday, July 25, 2014 at the VA Hospital in Ft. Thomas, KY. He was born on December 30, 1946 in Cincinnati, OH and was the son of William Elmore & Zelma (Coyle) Hampton. Tom served his country during Vietnam in the US Marine Corp and then went to work at Proctor & Gamble as a welder/pipe fitter for 26 years. He married Donna Fisher on August 21, 1965 in Norwood, OH and was a member of Legacy Christian Church in Harrison, OH. Tom had a huge sense of humor and a big laugh. He wanted an adventurous life and loved to go hiking, caving, fishing and shooting. He had a generous spirit and if anyone needed anything, he made sure they would get it. Tom is survived by his wife Donna Hampton, his son and daughter-in-law William Thomas Hampton Jr. & Marilee Morrow of Marietta, OH and his daughter & son-in-law Peggy & Tom Pierce of Harrison, OH. He will also be missed by his grandchildren Erin, Tucker & Oscar Hampton and Franklin, Nathan & Eleanor Pierce and his sister Peggy Ann Campbell of W. Harrison, IN. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brothers Glen & James Hampton and his sister Frances Eleanor Hampton. Visitation will be Tuesday, July 29, 2014 from 5-8pm at Jackman Kercheval Meyers Funeral Home, Harrison, OH. Funeral Services will be Thursday, July 31, 2014 at 11:00am at the Legacy Christian Church in Harrison with Pastor Willisa Redford officiating. Burial will follow services in Glen Haven Cemetery with military graveside rites by the Harrison Funeral Detail
