William Joseph Haas

February 9, 1930 — May 4, 2017

William “Bill” Haas, age 87 passed away Thursday, May 4, 2017 at his home in Harrison, OH. Born February 9, 1930 in Mack, OH he is the son of the late William Andrew & Clara Barbara (Bross) Haas.

He served his country in the US Army as a Corporal in the 1st Armored Division during the Korean Conflict. He married Sally M. Walton in April 1951 and she preceded him in death in 2010. He was a member of St. John the Baptist Church and worked at Western Hills Fabricators doing roofing, heating & sheet metal.

Bill is survived by his fiancé Elaine Waln. His Children children William E. Haas of Lake Worth, FL, Robert M. Haas (Ollie) of Harrison, OH, Diane Lynn Fritts of Harrison, OH and Pam Marie Johnson (Robert) of Harrison, OH. He will also be missed by 11 grandchildren, 19 great grandchildren, his sister Joann Mapes (Emery) of Bright, IN. In addition to his parents and wife, he was preceded in death by his daughter Donna Lee Callan & 1 grandchild.

Visitation will be Monday, May 8, 2017 from 11am until time of blessing at 1pm at Jackman Kercheval Meyers Funeral Home with Father Edward Shine officiating. Burial will follow services in Glen Haven Cemetery with military honors by the Harrison Funeral Detail.

In lieu of flowers, memorials are suggested to Hospice of Cincinnati c/o the funeral home.
