Wilbur Oscar Herget

Wilbur Oscar Herget, age 89 years of Bright, IN passed away Wednesday, December 15, 2010 at Western Hills Retirement Village. Born May 2, 1921 in Cincinnati, OH he was the son of the late Walter & Margaret (Ismael) Herget. The Marine Corp veteran married Ruth Rosenacker on Nov. 28, 1942 in Cincinnati, OH. He was a professional driver for many different trucking companies. Wilbur was a member of the Trinity Lutheran Church in Mt. Healthy and member of the Teamsters Local #100. Mr. Herget will be missed by his daughter Linda Herget (Bill Hodge) & son and daughter-in-law Bruce & Cindy Herget both of Bright, IN. He will also be missed by his grandchildren Craig & Jeremy (Gina) Herget. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife Ruth Herget on March 15, 2007 and brothers Walter & Leslie Herget. Visitation will be Saturday, December 18, 2010 from 11am to 12 noon followed by services at 12 noon all at Jackman Kercheval Meyers Funeral Home, Harrison, OH with Rev. Dr. Harold Shackelford officiating. Burial will be in Arlington Memorial Gardens, Cincinnati, OH with military graveside rites by Harrison Funeral Detail. Memorials are suggested to Alzheimer's Assoc. c/o the funeral home.
