Vera Jean Thomas

Vera Jean Thomas, age 77, of Harrison, Ohio, passed away on Thursday, September 14, 2023, in Cincinnati, Ohio.

Born the daughter of Neil and M. Jean (Brickner) Thomas on Thursday, November 15, 1945, in Hamilton, Ohio, she became a 1963 graduate of Harrison High School and retired from Anthem Blue Cross after 37 years in customer service, and she also worked at Back's Delicatessen.  She was a member of the Rosie Reds, Anthem Blue Cross Retired Group, and a member of St. John the Baptist Catholic Church.

Vera was survived by her sister Karen (Randy) Stevenson, and two brothers, Edward (Karen) Thomas, and James "Jim" Thomas.  She was also survived by her nephews, Scott (Shannon) Thomas, Matthew Thomas, and Michael Thomas, great-nieces, Maddox, Palmer, and Larkin Thomas, and Vera’s former sister-in-law, Julie Thomas.

She was preceded in death by her parents Neil and M. Jean Thomas.

Private services will be held at the convenience of the family.

In lieu of flowers, Vera had requested that memorials be made in her memory to the American Heart Association and the American Cancer Society in care of the funeral home.
