Susie L. Mcqueen

Susie L. McQueen (nee York) age 82 years of Mt. Vernon, KY passed away Friday, May 19, 2006 in Berea, KY. Born February 11, 1924 in Franklin County, IN she was the daughter of the late Thomas & Myrtle (Gray) York. She married Herbert McQueen on October 28, 1940 in Newport, KY. She was a member of the Scaffold Cane Southern Baptist Church in Mt. Vernon, KY. Mrs. McQueen is survived by her sons Herbert Michael (Debbie) McQueen of Guilford, IN and Scott Douglas McQueen of Mt. Vernon, KY; grandchildren Steven Michael McQueen, Nathan Lee McQueen, Jonathan McQueen and Amanda Jane McQueen; sister Darlene Frye of Rushville, IN. In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by her sisters Dorothy Lancaster, Irene Carey & Emma Fisher and brothers Arnold L. York, Sam York and Henry Clay York. Visitation will be Tuesday, May 23, 2006 from 5-8 P.M. at Jackman Kercheval Meyers Funeral Home in Harrison, OH. Funeral Services will be Wed. at 11:00 A.M. at the funeral home with Rev. Winston Shelton officiating. Burial will be in Gibson Cemetery. Memorials are suggested to Parkinson's Foundation or charity of ones choice.
