Sochia F. King

Mrs. Sochia F. "Frances" (Brown) King, age 70, of Harrison, Ohio, entered this life on April 10, 1944, in Pineville, Kentucky, the loving daughter of the late, Jake & Sochia (Ferrell) Brown. She was raised in Pineville, Kentucky & was a 1963 graduate of the Central High School in Cincinnati, Ohio. Frances was united in marriage on November 29, 1966, in Cincinnati, Ohio, to the late, Lewis "Tom" King & to this union arrived a son, Kevin & a daughter, Vicki to bless their home. Frances & Tom shared 47 years of marriage together until he passed away on August 19, 2013. Frances was a former Legal Secretary for the Law Office of Goering & Goering in Cincinnati, Ohio, retiring in 2005, after 13 years of service. She was employed as a Sales Associate for the Ethyl Corporation in Cincinnati, Ohio. She was also employed at the Lueken Steel in Cincinnati, Ohio. Frances resided in Harrison, Ohio most of her adult life. Frances was a faithful member of the New Haven Road Church of God in Harrison, Ohio, where she was very involved & served as the President of the Ladies Ministry for several years. Frances died at 1:55am, Saturday, December 6, 2014, at the Ridgewood Health Campus in Lawrenceburg, Indiana. Frances will be missed by her loving daughter, Vicki Griffin & her husband, Ryan of East Enterprise, Indiana; her loving son, Kevin King & his wife, April of Savannah, GA; along with her grandchildren, Chloe, Audrey, Tucker & Norah. She was preceded in death by her parents, Jake & Sochia (Ferrell) Brown; and her husband, Lewis "Tom" King, died August 19, 2013. Funeral services will be conducted Wednesday, December 10, 2014, at 1:00pm, by Rev. Eric Hollis, at the Jackman Kercheval Meyers Funeral Home, 215 East Broadway Street Harrison, Ohio 45030. Interment will follow in the Glen Haven Cemetery, Harrison, Ohio.
