Shirley Ann Wilcox

Shirley Ann Knose Wilcox, age 89, of Cincinnati, Ohio, passed away on Monday, September 4, 2023, at Marjorie P. Lee Retirement Center in Cincinnati, Ohio.

She was born the daughter of Arthur and Viola (Cook) Knose on Tuesday, January 14, 1934, and she grew up in Harrison, Ohio.  She graduated from Harrison High School and received her Bachelor’s degree from Mount Saint Joseph, and her Master’s degree from Xavier University.  She retired as a language arts teacher at St. John the Baptist in Harrison, Ohio.  Shirley was a long-time member of the Catholic church and she enjoyed reading, classical music, gardening, and walking in Miami Whitewater park.

Shirley is survived by her three children, Maria (Mark Duplisea) Ramos, Ron Wilcox, and Chris (Chris) Wilcox, and her four grandchildren, Tucker Wilcox, Halsey Wilcox, Elizabeth Ramos, and Alex Ramos.

She was preceded in death by her former husband, Ronald Wilcox, her parents, Arthur and Viola Knose, her brother, Dennis E. Knose, and her sister, Arlene Roessler.

A memorial service will be held in honor of Shirley on Saturday, November 4, 2023, at 12:00 P.M. at Miami Whitewater Park in Harrison, Ohio.  If you would like to participate, please send an email to mramos@innovaengineers.com to be placed on the memorial reminder list.
