Shirley Marie Watson

Shirley Marie Watson, age 87, of Campbellsburg, Kentucky, formally Harrison, Ohio passed away in LaGrange, Kentucky on Sunday, March 19, 2023.

Born on May 23, 1935, she was the daughter of Clyde and Bessie (Hurley) Grubbs in Guilford, Indiana.  She married David Watson on June 6, 1953 in West Harrison, Indiana and was a member of First Baptist Church Harrison and Calvary Baptist Church in Pendleton, Kentucky.

Shirley is survived by her beloved husband, David Watson, three children, Reba (Stephen) Pollard, Sharon Watson Daigle, David Watson, six grandchildren, 13 great-grandchildren, her brother Ernest (Rose) Grubbs and her sister Fern (Jerry) Hall.

She was preceded in death by her parents Clyde and Bessie Grubbs, her daughter, Joy Watson, and her sister, Mary Alice Howard.

Visitation will be held on Saturday, March 25, 2023 from 11:00 a.m. until time of funeral services at 12:30 p.m. all held at Jackman Hensley Funeral Home, 215 East Broadway Street, Harrison, Ohio 45030 with Pastor Vance Willett officiating. Burial will follow at Gibson Cemetery in Bright, Indiana.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made in memory of Shirley Marie Watson to Calvary Baptist Church in Pendleton, Kentucky in care of the funeral home.
