Sharon Gronauer

Sharon Gronauer, age 78 passed away Monday, December 7, 2015 at her home in Bright, IN.   Born November 23, 1937 in Cincinnati, OH she was the daughter of John & Marian (Blum) Reising.

On Oct. 13, 1956 she married Clifford R. Gronauer at St. Pius Catholic Church. Sharon graduated from Our Lady of Angels High School in 1954. She worked at the Kroger’s in Cleves as a cashier for 23 years. From 1972 – 1979 she worked as an EMT for Miami Township and was also a Eucharistic minister, usher & greeter for St. Teresa Benedicta of the Cross. She was a member of the Ladies Sodality at St. Teresa Benedicta where she was also a member. She loved to read and talk on the phone.

Sharon is survived by her children Clifford “Kip” (Kathy) Gronauer of Mexico, MO; Mark (Phyllis) Gronauer of White Oak, OH; Melanie (Mark VanWinkle) Gronauer of White Oak, OH & Dawn (Daniel) Sebastian of Delaware, IN. She will also be missed by her grandchildren Andrew (Tara) Gronauer, Amy (Kevin) Martens, Stephen (Jen) Gronauer, Matthew Gronauer & Jake VanWinkle along with her great grandchildren Reece, Morgan, Hannah, Brett & Elaina and her brother John (Pat) Reising of Dayton, OH. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband Clifford Gronauer in 1996.

Visitation will be Thursday, December 10, 2015 from 10am until time of Mass at 11am all at St. Teresa Benedicta of the Cross, 23345 Gavin Lane, Lawrenceburg, IN 47025 with Father Randy Sommers officiating. Burial will follow at Spring Grove Cemetery in Cincinnati, OH. Those wishing to proceed with us to the cemetery, may meet at Jackman Kercheval Meyers Funeral Home at 2pm. Memorials are suggested to St. Teresa’s Love & Action Committee c/o the funeral home.
