Samuel C. Mason

Samuel C. Mason, age 87, of Lawrenceburg, Indiana (formally Newburgh), passed away peacefully Monday, January 16, 2023, surrounded by his loving family.  Born August 6, 1935, in Tell City, Indiana, the son of Joseph and Blanche (Wind) Mason.

Samuel, a Perry County High School graduate, served his country in the United States Army; served 30 years as a Police officer for Newburgh, was a pilot, and an EMT. Samuel owned and operated Masons TV and Electronics store and owned/operated Mason Falls Property, Tell City, Indiana. Samuel was a HAM radio operator and a founding member of the Fraternal Order of Police of Warrick County, Indiana. He was a member of the Masonic F&AM Lodge #174, Scottish Rite Valley of Indianapolis, and Hadi Shrine Temple in Evansville, Indiana. Sam was well known for his humor and his willingness to assist others in a time of need.

Samuel is survived by his loving daughters Amy (Ken Robinson) and Angela (Jason) Boyd.  Grandfather of Mason (James) Shives, Peyton Donisi, Kennedee Robinson, Noah, Brooke, and Bryleigh Boyd, great-granddaugter Campbell Shives; sister Diane Tabor, and many nieces and nephews.

Preceded in death by his parents Joe and Blanche Mason, wife Patricia Faye (Paris) Mason and sister Joann Hess.

Visitation will be held Saturday, January 21, 2023, from 2:00 P.M. until time of Masonic services at 3:00 P.M. followed by military honors conducted by Harrison Funeral Detail and United States Army all at Jackman Hensley Funeral Home, 215 East Broadway Street, Harrison, Ohio 45030.

In Lieu of flowers memorials may be directed to Shriners Hospital, One Children’s Plaza 2 West, Dayton, Ohio 45404.
