In loving memory of Ruth Leahigh, a resident of Wilmington, Ohio (previously of Harrison, Ohio) who embraced life with a passion for nature and a zest for adventure. She passed away on Sunday, March 24, 2024, in Cincinnati, Ohio surrounded by her devoted husband of almost 44 years, Everett Leahigh, her loving daughters, Janelle (Eric) Tucker and Annette (Derek) Bales, and her three beloved sisters, Virginia “Ginny” Schulte, Rebecca “Becky” (Michael) Hall, and Barb (Ron) Mason. She leaves behind a legacy of love and cherished memories.
Born on August 13, 1950, in Hamilton, Ohio, to Harry and Mary (Waller) Schulte. She was a kind soul known for her love of nature's beauty. She found joy in the melodies of birds, the tranquility of hiking trails and camping with family. Her spirit soared on motorcycle rides, exploring the open road with a sense of freedom and wonder.
Ruth was an avid reader, finding solace in the pages of her books. Her green thumb brought life to gardens, cultivating beauty in every bloom. She loved to gather with family to play games and share moments of joy and laughter. Her graceful movements on the dance floor reflected her vibrant spirit and love for life.
Ruth will be deeply missed by her loving family and friends. Her memory will forever remain in our hearts as we cherish the moments shared and the love she gave so freely.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Harry and Mary Schulte.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to Miami Whitewater Forest, reflecting her love for nature and wildlife, or to American Kidney Fund, American Diabetes Association, or American Heart Association in care of the funeral home.
