Roxie Louise Howard

Roxie Louise Howard, peacefully passed away on Sunday, January 4, 2026, in Harrison, Ohio, surrounded by her loved ones. Born on September 19, 1949, in Cincinnati, Ohio, Roxie's warm spirit and nurturing heart were evident throughout her life.

Roxie was proud to be a high school graduate who dedicated her life to caring for her family. Her role as a homemaker allowed her to cultivate a welcoming home filled with love and laughter. She enjoyed creating beautiful memories with her children and grandchildren, ensuring that family gatherings were always special and memorable.

She is survived by her loving children, Sherry (Otis) Chamblin and Harry (Jenny) Howard. Roxie's legacy continues through her grandchildren, Colton Howard, Tyler (Allison) Brinkman, Gage Howard, and Emma Chamblin, as well as her great-grandchildren, Tucker, Elliott, and Shelby, who brought her immeasurable joy.

Roxie is also survived by her brothers, Rocky (Jolene) Lawwill and Melvin Lawwill, along with her sister, Penny Fugate. These family bonds were a source of strength and comfort for Roxie throughout her life.

Roxie was preceded in death by her parents, James and Gertrude (nee Walters) Lawwill, her brother Bobby Lewis, and her sisters, Linda Lawwill and Faye Walters. They hold a cherished place in the hearts of those who remain, and their memories will always be intertwined with Roxie’s.

A visitation in honor of Roxie will be held on Thursday, January 8, 2026, from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM, followed by a funeral service at 7:00 PM, both taking place at Jackman Hensley Funeral Home located at 215 E Broadway Street, Harrison, Ohio, 45030.

Roxie Louise Howard will be remembered as a loving matriarch whose kindness and compassion touched the lives of many. She leaves behind a legacy of love and family, which will continue to inspire those who had the privilege of knowing her.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the family in care of the funeral home.
