Robert Howard Harper

Robert Howard Harper, age 89, of Bright, Indiana, passed away Thursday, October 4, 2018 at Ripley Crossing Milan, Indiana.  Born June 16, 1929 in Harrison Township, Hamilton County, Ohio, son of Howard and Margaret (Ullrich) Harper.

Robert graduated from Harrison High School in 1947. He married Betty Wurster June 19, 1948 in Bright, Indiana. Robert retired as an electrician from Cincinnati Incorporated, Harrison after 31 years.  He was a member of the Bright Volunteer Fire Department for over 50 years.  He enjoyed racing and loved to go camping with his orange bus. Many stories were told.

Robert is survived by his children, Robert (Lois) Harper of Bright, IN, Howard (Glenda) Harper of Guilford, IN, Peggy (Ron) Osborne of Logan, IN, Doug (Pat) Harper of Dover, IN, Sharon Burchfield of Bright, IN, Bryan Harper of Indianapolis, IN and Anthony (Leslie) Harper of Georgetown, IN.  Grandfather of 13 and great grandfather of 10.  Brother of H. James Harper and sister Carol Duwell both of Harrison, Ohio

Preceded in death by his parents, Howard and Margaret (Ullrich) Harper, his wife, Betty Harper, sisters, Mary Gulley and Mildred Morris and brother Richard Harper.

Visitation will be held Monday, October 8, 2018 from 9:00 A.M. until time of funeral services at 11:00 A.M. with Pastor Charles Miller officiating all at Jackman Hensley Funeral Home 215 Broadway Street Harrison, Ohio 45030.  Burial will follow at Gibson Cemetery Mausoleum Bright, Indiana.
