Robert E. Campton

Robert E. Campton, age 78 years of Harrison, OH formerly Lynx, OH passed away Friday, February 20, 2009 in Cincinnati, OH. Born October 14, 1930 in Lynx, OH he was the son of the late Drennan & Mabel (Poole) Campton. He graduated from Jefferson High School in Blue Creek, OH and served in the US Air Force during the Korean Conflict. He worked at Kaisers in Oakland, CA as an Engineer and for Trautman Realtor in Amelia, OH. He is a life time member of the Harrison American Legion & VFW and member of the Masonic Lodge in West Union, OH. Mr. Campton is survived by his son Robert F. (Tammie) Campton of Harrison, OH; grandchildren Logan, Madeline & Austin and former wife Janet (Bill) McClellan of Chillicothe, OH. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his siblings Howard Campton & Leona Spires. Visitation is Tuesday, February 24, 2008 at 12 noon followed by services at 1:00 pm all at East Liberty Interdenominational Church, 350 Prairie Rd., Lynx, OH 45650 with Pastor Volley Reed officiating. Memorials are suggested to the church c/o Mary Grooms, Building Fund Treasurer, 245 Wilderness Dr., W. Union, OH 45693. Burial will be in East Liberty Church Cemetery.
