Robert Frances Brown

Robert Frances Brown, age 82 of Okeana, OH passed away Tuesday, May 03, 2011 at Shawneesprings Health Care Center in Harrison, OH. Born November 2, 1928 in Rockdale, IN, he was the son of the late Birdie & Pauline (Terry) Brown. Retired in 1985 after 38 ½ years at Procter & Gamble as a clerk. He was the Precinct Committeeman for Republicans in Franklin County and he was the Civil Defense Director for Franklin County. He sat on the Drewersburg Cemetery Board, Drewersburg Fire Dept. Board, was a member of the Macedonia Christian Church, a Charter member of the Drewersburg Fire Dept., an honorary Franklin County Special Deputy for 20 years, President of the SEIOC Corp., Past Master of Harmony Lodge #11 F&AM and Charter member of the Mt. Carmel Conservation Club. He loved to hunt Coon, Deer & Quail, go fishing, trapping and mushroom hunting. Robert raised quail for many years and he and his wife always vacation in Michigan for many years. Robert is survived by his wife of over 65 years Millie Brown, sons and daughter-in-laws Harold & Cindy Brown of Harrison, OH and Jerrold & June Brown of W. Harrison, IN. He will also be missed by his grandchildren Jeffrey Brown of Loveland, OH, Julie (Anthony) Joseph of Westwood, OH & Douglas (Brandy) Brown of Bright, IN; great grandchildren Madison Brown and soon to be great grandchildren Mason Brown & Ava Grace Joseph; and his siblings Wilma (Elvin) Johnson of Okeana, OH & Buddie Brown of Mt. Carmel, IN. Visitation will be Thursday, May 5, 2011 from 5-8pm with Masonic Services at 7:45 at Jackman Kercheval Meyers Funeral Home, Harrison, OH. Funeral Services will be Friday, May 6, 2011 at 11:00am at the funeral home with Rev. Dr. Harold Shackelford officiating. Burial will be in Drewersburg Cemetery. Memorials are suggested to Drewersburg Fire Dept. or Hospice of Cincinnati c/o the funeral home.
