Richard Joseph Hooven

Richard Joseph Hooven, age 56 of Harrison, OH passed away Thursday, April 1, 2010 at his home. Born October 15, 1953 in Cincinnati, OH he was the son of the late Leroy K. Hooven & Dorothy I. (Ober) Hooven. He was a US Navy veteran during Vietnam, member of St. John the Baptist Church, Harrison, OH and graduated from University of Cincinnati in 1980 and Cincinnati College of Mortuary Science in 1982. He was a funeral director in Merced, CA. Mr. Hooven is survived by his daughters Jennifer A. (Paul) Nay of San Leandro, CA & Krista L. (David) Cuneo of San Lorenzo, CA. He will also be missed by his grandchildren Austin, Ashleigh & Adian Nay, Bradley Pruet and Cameron Cuneo and siblings Terry, Mike & Dennis Hooven, Linda Hilbert & Barbara Estes. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his stepmother June Hooten. Visitation will be Thursday, April 8, 2010 from 10am-12noon at Jackman Kercheval Meyers Funeral Home, Harrison, OH with Mass of Christian Burial to follow at 12:30pm at St. John the Baptist Church, Harrison, OH with Father Bill Dorrmann officiating and military rites by the Harrison Funeral Detail. Memorials are suggested to the DAV or masses.
