Richard "Dick" P. Purcell

Richard P. "Dick" Purcell, age 80 of W. Harrison, IN passed away Tuesday, September 2, 2014 at Ripley Crossing in Milan, IN. Born April 2, 1934 in St. Bernard, OH he was the son of the late Paul & Hilda (Meiners) Purcell. Richard, a 1952 graduate of Roger Bacon High School, married Ruth K. Cheek on June 29, 1968 in Michigan, was a member of St. John the Baptist Church in Harrison, OH. He worked as a computer programmer and then went to work for R L Polk in management. He served his country in the US Army. Richard is survived by his loving wife Ruth K. Purcell; dear sons Richard W. "Rick" (Rahquel) Purcell of Cincinnati, OH & Roger P. Purcell of W. Harrison, OH. He is the proud grandfather of Falyn & Roman of Cincinnati and brother of John (Pamela) Purcell. He will also be missed by many nieces, nephews, great nieces & great nephews. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his siblings Donald, Gertrude, Virginia, Vera & Patricia. Visitation will be Friday, September 5, 2014 from 5-8pm and Saturday from 9:30 -10:30 at Jackman Kercheval Meyers Funeral Home, Harrison, OH. Mass of Christian Burial will be Saturday at 11:00am at St. John the Baptist Church with Father Edward Shine officiating. Burial will be in St. John Cemetery on Vine St. in Cincinnati, OH.
