Raymond "Perry" Maples

Raymond "Perry" Maples, age 83 of Harrison, OH passed away Thursday, August 11, 2011 in Cincinnati, OH. Born May 17, 1928 he was the son of the late Perry & Lestie (Clampitt) Maples. The US Army Veteran of the Korean War retired from the US Post Office as a mail carrier & Fernald. He married Martha Yeager on July 3, 1951 in Lawrenceburg, IN. Mr. Maples was a member of the Church of Christ on Sunset and the American Legion Yeager Benson Post 199. Perry is survived by his wife Martha Maples, his son & his wife Jim & Linda Hickey of North Bend, OH; grandchildren Jimmy (Shauntina) Hickey & Steven (Trish) Hickey both of Harrison, OH; great grandchildren Jimmy, Justin, Michaela, Ava & Henry and sister Betty Clark of New Trenton, IN. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his granddaughter Karen Hickey and sisters Beulah Mericle, Hazel Johnson & Mildred Johnson. Visitation will be Saturday, August 13, 2011 from 10am until time of service at 11am all at Jackman Kercheval Meyers Funeral Home, Harrison, OH with Rev. Russell Lieb officiating. Burial will be in Glen Haven Cemetery with graveside military rites by the Harrison Funeral Detail. Memorials are suggested to Hospice of Cincinnati, Alzheimer's Assoc. or Council on Aging c/o the funeral home.
