Raymond Robert Loos

Raymond Robert Loos “Tadpole”, age 83, of Harrison, Ohio, passed away on Friday, July 21, 2023 at Harrison Trails Health Campus in Harrison, Ohio.

Raymond was born the son of Leonard and Marie (March) Loos on January 26, 1940, in Cincinnati, Ohio.  He was a 1958 Harrison High School graduate and married his loving wife of over 59 years, Joan McGregor, on April 24, 1964 at St. John United Church of Christ. He proudly served the United States Marine Corps and was a member of the American Legion #199.  Raymond served as a member of the First Presbyterian Church of Harrison, Ohio for over 71 years and was noted as one of the longest standing members.

Raymond is survived by his loving wife, Joan Loos, his children Dawna (Brian) Thomas, Deana (Bill) Doepker, and Christopher (Stephanie) Loos; his grandchildren Makenzie (Matt) Hoiney, Mitchell (Abbie) Thomas, William and Annalise Doepker, and Claire and Lauren Loos; and his great‑grandchildren Braelyn, Larkin and Josslyn Hoiney, and Jaxson and Braxton Thomas.  He is also survived by his loving brother, Allen Loos.

Visitation will be held on Friday, July 28, 2023 from 3:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. followed by a memorial service at 5:00 p.m. - all at The First Presbyterian Church, 115 South Vine Street, Harrison, Ohio 45030 with Pastor Joshua Long officiating and military honors by the Harrison Honor Guard and the United States Marine Corps.  A celebration of Raymond’s life will follow at 6:00 p.m. at Yeager-Benson Memorial American Legion Post #199, 10700 Campbell Road, Harrison, Ohio 45030.
