Ray Armstrong

Ray Armstrong 93, aka Ralph, and aka Melvin to his work buddies....went to be with Jesus on November 13, 2017 at Hospice of Cincinnati Blue Ash.  Ray was born on February 28, 1924 in Alfordsville, Indiana to Raymond and Carrie (Brown) Armstrong.

He worked worked as a millwright in the carpenters union, and later worked at G.E.  He retired at the age of 72, and then he and Pauline traveled to 49 states and 32 countries.

He leaves behind a family who treasured him - his wife of 66 years, Pauline (Prud'homme) Armstrong from Linton, Indiana, Four children Lisa (Jim) Mansfield of Bright, Indiana, Kenny (Karen) Armstrong of Jupiter, Florida, Suzanne (David) Wick of Cincinnati, Ohio and Jimmy (Jennifer) Armstrong of Cincinnati, Ohio.

Ray adored his family, and was happiest when he was surrounded by his children, grandchildren, and extended family and friends.  He leaves 12 grandchildren Erica (Matt) Sahm, Matthew, Annie, Jacob, Jordan and David Mansfield.  Lauren and Adam Armstrong, Andrew, Emily and Ryan Wick, and Brayden Brunow.  He was also blessed with five great grandchildren Ava and Luke Mansfield, and the twins Malcolm and Ruby Rae Sahm.  His great grandson Lincoln Sahm preceded him in death.

Ray often quoted I Timothy 5:8 to his family, which says, If anyone does not provide for his family relatives, and especially for his immediate family, he has denied the faith, and is worse than an unbeliever.

Visitation will be held Friday, November 17, 2017 from 6:00 to 8:00 PM and Saturday, November 18, 2107 from 10:00 AM until time of funeral services at 11:00 AM all at the Miamitown Church of Christ 6670 State Route 128 Miamitown, Ohio 45041 with Rev. Dusty Delafield officiating.  Burial will be in Miamitown Cemetery Miamitown, Ohio.  Memorials may be directed to Miamitown Church of Christ c/o Jackman Hensley Funeral Home 215 Broadway Street Harrison, Ohio 45030.
