Pauline Armstrong

June 3, 1928 — June 18, 2023

Pauline J. Armstrong, née Prud’homme, of Miamitown, OH went home to be with the Lord on June 18th, 2023. She was born in Linton, IN on June 3rd, 1928, to Paul and Trella (Corbin) Prud’homme. Her precious husband, Ray, preceded her in death in 2017. They were married for 66 years. Pauline and Ray had four children: Lisa Mansfield, Kenny (Karen) Armstrong, Suzanne (David) Wick, and Jimmy Armstrong. They adored their twelve grandchildren: Erica (Matt) Sahm, Matthew (Cristi) Mansfield, Annie Mansfield, Jacob Mansfield, Jordan (Carly) Mansfield, David (Abby) Mansfield, Adam Armstrong, Lauren Armstrong, Andrew (Jennifer) Wick, Emily Wick, Ryan Wick, and Brayden Brunow. They were also blessed with six great grandchildren: Ava Mansfield, Luke Mansfield, Malcolm Sahm, Ruby Sahm, and Davie Jean Mansfield. She is also survived by her loving sister, Ernestine Ferry. Her brother, Jim Prud’homme, and her sweet great-grandson, Lincoln Sahm, preceded her in death.

Pauline touched so many people during her 95 years. The one word most often used to describe her was the word “sweet.” Her good friend, Mildred, once said, “There is no one on this earth sweeter than Pauline. I’ve never once heard her say a bad thing about anyone.” Her faith was of paramount importance, and she and Ray made it a priority to live out their faith and pass it on to their children and grandchildren. Her favorite scripture was from Matthew 11:28 which states, “Come to me, all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest. Take my yoke (strength) upon you and learn from me; for I am gentle and humble, and you will find rest for your soul.”

Visitation for Pauline will be held at the Miamitown Church of Christ on Friday evening, June 23rd from 6-8 pm, and Saturday, June 24th at 10 am until the time of service, which begins at 11 am. A burial will follow at Miamitown Cemetery. Memorial donations, if desired, can be made to the Miamitown Church of Christ in Pauline’s name. Jackman Hensley Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
