Nancy Virginia Edwards

Nancy Virginia Edwards, age 76 of Sunman, IN passed away Friday, May 27, 2011 at Margaret Mary Community Hospital in Batesville, IN. Born October 27, 1934 in Cincinnati, OH she was the daughter of the late August & Clara (Bryan) Piening. She married Roy Edwards and he preceded her in death on February 22, 1975. She was a member of St. John the Baptist Church in Harrison, OH. Nancy is survived by her daughters and their husbands Betty & Dave Eckerle of Milan, IN, Peggy Slayback of Vevay, IN, Kathy & Robert Haydon of Harrison, OH and Linda & Dave Johnson of Harrison, OH. She will also be missed by her partner James Slayback and siblings Luella Reed of Delhi, OH, Eileen Rumsey of Manchester, IN, Charlotte Homer of Cincinnati, OH, Dewey Piening of Saylor Park, OH & John Piening of Cincinnati, OH; 9 grandchildren and 27 great grandchildren. In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by her siblings Martha Panko & August Piening. Visitation will be Friday, June 3, 2011 from 10:00-11:30am at Jackman Kercheval Meyers Funeral Home, Harrison, OH. Mass of Christian Burial will be Friday, June 3, 2011 at 12 noon at St. John the Baptist Church, Harrison, OH with Rev. Jeffrey M. Kemper officiating. Burial will be in St. Joe Old Cemetery.
