Michael “Mike” Lee Ravenscraft, age 66 of Lawrenceburg, IN passed away Monday, May 1, 2017 at Dearborn County Hospital. Born January 28, 1951 in Cincinnati, OH he is the son of the late Harold & Maxine (Persyn) Ravenscraft.
Mike graduated from Hughes High School and from University of Cincinnati with a degree in Criminal Justice. He served his country as Lance Corporal in the US Marine Corps during Vietnam where he received a purple Heart and 4 Bronze Stars. He worked as an inspector for Consolidated Railroad. In August of 1991 he married Peggy Reid in Harrison, OH.
Mike is survived by his wife Peggy Ravenscraft, his children Mick Ravenscraft (Dawn) of Cincinnati, OH, Adam Bourquein (Dawn) of Guilford, IN, Ryan Ravenscraft (Sherry) of Fairfield, OH, Renae Taylor (Matt) of Lawrenceburg, IN, Nathan Bourquein (Jessica) of W. Harrison, IN and Dustin Allen of Lawrenceburg, IN. He will also be missed by his 16 grandchildren, who call him Grumpy, and his sisters Debra Trembly (Don) of Florida and Peggy Whisman of Kentucky. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his sister Pam Miles.
Visitation will be Saturday, May 6, 2017 from 10am until time of services at 12 noon at Jackman Kercheval Meyers Funeral Home, Harrison, OH with Rev. Doug Redford officiating. Burial with military honors will be in Spring Grove Cemetery, Cincinnati, OH.
