Mavis Dittmer, age 69 of W. Harrison, IN passed away suddenly March 22, 2015 in Harrison, OH. Born in Whitesburg, KY on December 31, 1945 she is the daughter of Fred & Olga (Adams) Boggs. The Church on Fire Ministries member and graduate of Thomas Moore College worked as a nurse for many years. Mavis is survived by her children Joseph Glen Blanton of Aurora, IN; Jerry Kaye (Jamie) Guerra of Aurora, IN; Richard Blanton of W. Harrison, IN; Lorrie York of Cincinnati, OH & Derrick Dittmer of Aurora, IN, her grandchildren Josilyn Blanton, Joseph Rowen, Ciara (Devin) Solomon, Sarah Blanton, Jessica Blanton, Grace Blanton, Julian Blanton & Lcp. TyRon York II and 4 great grandchildren. She will also be missed by her siblings Callie Collins, Juanita McDaniel, Leon (Judy) Boggs, James (Gloria) Boggs, Brenda (Jim) Case & Louise (Norman) Hart. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her siblings Mary Catherine Byrd, Thelma Farthing, Bobby Boggs, Paul Boggs & Richard Boggs. Visitation will be Saturday, March 28, 2015 from 9am until time of funeral services at 11:00 am all at Jackman Kercheval Meyers Funeral Home, Harrison, OH with Paul Gangloff officiating. Burial will follow in Gibson Cemetery, Bright, IN. Memorials are suggested to the family to offset funeral expenses.
