Mary Lucille Nocks

Mary Lucille Nocks, age 81 years of Harrison, OH passed away Thursday, June 24, 2010 in Harrison, OH. Born July 1, 1928 in St. Francisville, IL she was the daughter of the late Floy & Veda (Foss) Coe. The 1945 graduate of Aurora High School was the youngest in her class at the age of 17. She was a member of First Presbyterian Church, Order of the Eastern Star Marvin Lodge # 376 and the American Legion & VFW Ladies Auxiliary. She worked for Avon Products in accounting. She married Thomas Alfred Nocks on January 30, 1946 in Covington, KY and he preceded her in death on June 27, 1981. Mrs. Nocks is survived by her sons Gerald "Beaver" (Kay) Nocks & Dick (Kathy) Nocks both of Harrison, OH; grandchildren Lisa (Jeff) Shurbet, Kelsey (Steve) Kalgreen, Katie (Tyler) Baker, Tom Nocks & Tim Nocks; great grandchildren Taylor Bates, Makenna Bates & Casey Shurbet and brother-in-law Harold Rice. In addition to her husband, Thomas Nocks, and parents Floy & Veda Coe, Mary was preceded in death by her sister Ruby Rice. Visitation will be Sunday, June 27, 2010 from 5-8pm with Eastern Star Services at 8:00pm and Monday, June 28, 2010 from 9-10am at Jackman Kercheval Meyers Funeral Home, Harrison, OH. Funeral Services will be Monday at 10am at the funeral home with Rev. Glenn Baaten officiating. Burial will be in Glen Haven Cemetery, Harrison, OH. Memorials are suggested to First Presbyterian Church or Harrison Life Squad c/o the funeral home.
