Mary Kathern Maddox

Mary Kathern Maddox, age 77, of West Harrison, Indiana, went Home to be with the Lord on Friday, August 9, 2024, while surrounded by her loving family. Born May 17, 1947, in West Harrison, Indiana, the daughter of James and Eva (Hall) Miller.

Mary Kathern, a 1965 graduate of William Henry Harrison High School, married Curtis L. Maddox on June 19, 1965, in West Harrison, Indiana. A member of Pentecostal Holiness Tabernacle and worked for Season Good Box Factory for many years.

Survived by her faithful, loving husband Curtis L. Maddox (“ P.S. - You will be in my heart, in my thoughts, and in my dreams. You are my sunshine. Rest in Jesus, until I see you again. Love, Curtis ”). Devoted mother of Curtis Wade (Wanda) Maddox, Penny Hodge, Stephen Todd (Michelle) Maddox, and Carri (Nathan) Embrey. Grandmother of Jonathan, Philip, Megan, Hannah, Naomi, Isaac, Isabelle, Luke, Hunter, Tanner, and Violet, and great-grandmother of Maddox, Theo, and Sailor. Dear sister of Ocie (Charlotte) Miller and David (Diane) Miller.  Dear “daughter” and best friend, Kathy (Eddie) Henson.

Preceded in death by her parents James and Eva Miller, siblings Don Miller, Everett Miller, Carolyn Byrd, and Debbie Henson.

A visitation will be held Wednesday, August 14, 2024, from 5:00 P.M. to 8:00 P.M. Funeral services will be Thursday, August 15, 2024, at 12:00 P.M. all at Jackman Hensley Funeral Home, 215 East Broadway Street, Harrison, Ohio 45030.  A burial will follow at Gibson Cemetery in Bright, Indiana.
