Marvin Roy Staggs, Sr.

Marvin Roy Staggs, Sr. age 78 of Bethel, OH passed away Saturday, May 23, 2015 at the Mt. Washington Care Center in Cincinnati, OH. Born April 20, 1937 in West Union, OH he was the son of Roy Cecil & Josephine Mae (Bushey) Staggs. He received his associate's degree in social work and retired from Community Services West as a Social Gerontologist. Mr. Staggs is survived by his children Chris Edward (Donna) Staggs of Spring, TX, Terry Lynn Staggs of Mason, OH, Marvin Roy Staggs II of Batavia, OH, Myron Randolph (Christina) Staggs of Cincinnati, OH, Miles Reade (Amy) Staggs of Cincinnati, OH, Michael Rex (Lori) Staggs of Murietta, CA and Michele Renee (Ervin) Wickey of Grabill, IN. He will also be missed by 16 grandchildren and numerous great grandchildren. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his daughter Angela Faith Volley and siblings James William Staggs, Helen Mae Herd and Richard Nelson Staggs. Visitation will be Wednesday, May 27, 2015 from 12 noon until time of services at 1:00pm at Jackman Kercheval Meyers Funeral Home, Harrison, OH. Burial will follow in the Akers-Friendship Cemetery in Friendship, IN.
