Martha Rose Newhouse

Martha Rose Newhouse, age 98 years of Harrison, OH passed away Thursday, September 24, 2009 at Woodlawn Hills Care Center in Lawrenceburg, IN. Born June 11, 1911 in Fremont, OH she was the daughter of the late Frank E. & Ethel Mae (Rose) Nichols. She married Roy F. Newhouse on August 24, 1934 and was a member of the First Presbyterian Church in Harrison, OH. Mrs. Newhouse is survived by her daughters Ruth (Gene) Schmarr of Lawrenceburg, IN & Laura (Tom) Kaiser of Greendale, IN. She will also be missed my her granddaughters Karen (Royce) Heim & Nancy (Noble) Brown as well as her great grandchildren Lauren & Haley Heim and Evan & Zachary Brown and her sister Mario Rogers. In addition to her parents & husband she was preceded in death by her brothers Carl, Phil, Earl, Frank Jr, Hugh & Charles Nichols. Visitation will be Friday, October 2, 2009 from 12:30pm until time of service at 2:30pm at Jackman Kercheval Meyers Funeral Home in Harrison, OH with Rev. Glenn Baaten officiating. Burial will be in Glen Haven Cemetery. Memorials are suggested to First Presbyterian Church, American Heart Assoc. or Alzheimer's Assoc. c/o the funeral home.
