Martha Rose Maples

Martha Rose Maples, age 88 of Harrison, OH passed away Tuesday, May 29, 2012 at Ridgewood Health Center in Lawrenceburg, IN. Born June 30, 1923 in Harrison, OH she was the daughter of Raymond & Rose (Riedenbach) Yeager. Martha worked for US Shoe and the Sauntry's Five & Dime. She married Raymond "Perry" Maples on July 3, 1951 in Lawrenceburg, IN and he preceded her in death on Aug. 11, 2011. She was a member of Church of Christ on Sunset and a 1941 graduate of Bright High School. Mrs. Maples is survived by her son Jim (Linda) Hickey of North Bend, OH; grandchildren Jimmy (Shauntina) Hickey of Harrison, OH, Steven (Trish) Hickey of Harrison, OH & great grandchildren Jimmy, Justin, Michaela, Ava & Henry. In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by her daughter Karen Hickey and sister Jane (Taylor) Valentine of West Harrison, IN. Visitation will be Friday, June 1, 2012 from 10am until time of service at 11am all at Jackman Kercheval Meyers Funeral Home, Harrison, OH with Russell Lieb officiating. Burial will be in Glen Haven Cemetery, Harrison, OH. Memorials are suggested to the Alzheimer's Assoc. c/o the funeral home which may be brought to the visitation/service or mailed to the funeral home.
