Markland E. Roudebush, age 95 years of Harrison, OH passed away Thursday, October 8, 2009 at the Carriage Court Nursing Home in Kenwood, OH. Born March 4, 1914 in Harrison, OH he was the son of the late Frank B. & May (Markland) Roudebush. He was a 1932 graduate of Harrison High School, worked as a Tool & Die Maker for Fisher Body of GM in Fairfield, OH and was a member of the Legacy Christian Church and Snow Lodge #193 F&AM. He married Mary D. Davis on May 28, 1938 in Harrison. Markland loved to play bridge, was an avid gardener in which he gardened until he was no longer able to. He also loved cars & taught his son Mark the art of working on them. He was a great handyman and his kids said he would always fix things at their homes, but most of all he was a devoted husband and father. Markland is survived by his children Karen (Walter) Schunk of Harrison, OH; Sally Wind of Noblesville, IN & Mark D. (Robbin) Roudebush of Harrison, OH. He will also be missed by his grandchildren Melissa, Todd, Jodie, Eric, Christian & Adam and great grandchildren Dylan, Hayden, Dyan, Morgan, Alex, Brooke, Clair, Riley, Zachery, Nathan, Rachel & Danielle and his twin brother Hammond Roudebush. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife in 2001 Mary Roudebush and sisters Harriett Gilmore & Katherine Hunt. Visitation will be Sunday, October 11, 2009 from 5-8pm at Jackman Kercheval Meyers Funeral Home, Harrison, OH with Masonic services at 8pm. Funeral Services will be Monday, October 12, 2009; 11:00am at the funeral home with Dr. William McConnell officiating. Burial will be in Glen Haven Cemetery, Harrison, OH. Memorials are suggested to Legacy Christian Church, American Diabetes Assoc. & Hospice of Cincinnati c/o the funeral home.
