Marjorie Ann Steele

Marjorie Ann Steele, age 96 of Harrison, Ohio passed away on Tuesday, June 27, 2017 at Dearborn County Hospital in Lawrenceburg, Indiana.  The daughter of Daniel and Helen (Schuck) Smith was born on February 3, 1921 in Harrison, OH.

Marjorie married Russell Steele on May 5, 1956 and he preceded her on June 3, 2003. She served in the US Navy during WWII.  Marjorie was a member of the Daughters of Isabella, the Waves, VFW Duwel Post #7570 and a lifetime member of St. John the Baptist.

She is survived by her step sons Mike Steele of Houston, TX and John (Stephanie) Steele of Matlacha Isles, FL; her grandchildren Melissa (Joe) Knock and Matt (Angela) Steele; six great grandchildren Joey, John & Sophia Knock and Lincoln, Sydney & Owen Steele; along with her brother Jim Smith of Oak Harbor, OH.

In addition to her husband she was preceded in death by her siblings Clem Smith and Eileen Tracy and granddaughter Emily Hoerst.

Visitation will be Thursday, July 6, 2017 from 9:30-11:00am at Jackman Kercheval Meyers Funeral Home.  Mass of Christian Burial will follow at 11:30am at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church in Harrison, OH with Father Jeff Kemper officiating.

Burial will be at St. John the Baptist Cemetery with military honors.

Memorials may be given to St. John Building Fund c/o the funeral home.
