Marie Bennett

Marie Bennett of Las Vegas, NE formerly of Cincinnati, OH passed away Wednesday, July 20, 2011 in Las Vegas. Born August 13, 1921 in New Trenton, IN she was the daughter of the late Wilson & Alpha (McQueen) Reid. She married William Bennett on October 31, 1939. She was a member of Hartwell United Methodist Church formerly Tanner Valley United Methodist Church. Marie is survived by her daughter and her husband Connie & David Starker of Las Vegas, NE; grandchildren Andrea Glassman, Jull Spangler, Gregory Darling, Tricia Starker & Suzanne Duncan and 5 great grandchildren. She will also be missed by her sister June Durham of Harrison, OH & brother John "Jake" Reid of W. Harrison, IN. In addition to her parents & husband, she was preceded in death by her daughter Rebecca Jane Darling & infant son Ronald Bennett; granddaughter Christy Starker; sisters Charlotte Murray & Rosemary Reid and brothers Gene & Glen "Clint" Reid. Services are private on Monday, July 25, 2011 at Jackman Kercheval Meyers Funeral Home, Harrison, OH. IN Lieu of flowers, memorials are suggested to Hospice of Las Vegas c/o the funeral home.
