Marian Lou Kraus

Marian Lou Kraus, age 82 of West Harrison, IN passed away on Friday, December 12, 2014 at Dearborn County Hospital in Lawrenceburg, IN. Born on December 7, 1932 in West Harrison, IN, Marian was the daughter of James and Marcella (Hodges) Benson. On April 20, 1947 she married Phil Kraus in Cincinnati, Ohio. Marian was a member of the Eastern Star in Lawrenceburg, IN and had worked at the Harrison CVS. Marian will be missed by her husband Phil; her children Jelema Kraus of Hamilton, OH, Phil Kraus Jr. of Waynesville, OH, Gordon Kraus of West Harrison, IN, Donald Kraus of Cape Coral, FL, Joseph (Gail) Kraus of Harrison, OH and Robert Kraus of Bright, IN; in addition to her grandchildren Wesley, Jeffrey, Samantha, Karissa, Abby, Eryn, Rachael and Gerry; and one great grandchild, Kailyn; along with her brothers and sisters, Carol (Gene) Ziegler of West Harrison, IN, Doug (Patricia) Benson of West Harrison, IN, Marci (Harry) Horner of SC and Jim (Gayle) Benson of Whitesburg, KY. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her sister Shirley Mandery and brother John Benson, his wife Ann of Mt. Vernon, KY survives. Visitation will be from 12pm-1pm on Tuesday, December 16, 2014 followed by the funeral service at 1pm all at Jackman Kercheval Meyers Funeral Home in Harrison, OH. The Rev. Harold Shackelford officiating with burial at the Glen Haven Cemetery in Harrison, OH. Memorials may be given to the Alzheimer's Association c/o the funeral home.
