Marian 'Joyce' J. Esterkamp

Marian "Joyce" J. Esterkamp, age 80 of Okeana, OH passed away on Thursday, June 19, 2014 at Christ Hospital in Cincinnati, OH. The daughter of Walter Brock and Elizabeth Gertrude (Jones) was born on November 28, 1933 in Cincinnati.

On December 5, 1951 she married Albert W. Esterkamp in Lawrenceburg, IN. He preceded her in death on December 3, 2013.

Joyce worked for Southwest Local School District for 30 years as a bus driver and custodian. She enjoyed playing bingo and watching baseball, but most of all loved spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren.

She is survived by her children Debbie (the late Donald) Huff of Okeana, Albert (Kim) Esterkamp of Price Hill, OH, Nancy Lowe of Ft. Myers, FL, Dennis Esterkamp of Price Hill, Ruth Ann Esterkamp of Harrison, OH, Bonnie (John) Knue of Cape Coral, FL, Jennifer Esterkamp of Cleves, OH, Jerry Esterkamp of New Trenton, IN; along with 17 grandchildren, 20 great grandchildren plus many nieces plus newphews.

In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by her daughter, Marian (Lamonte) Richardson and her two brothers, Walter H. and Gene Brock.

Visitation will be Tuesday, June 24, 2014 from 9-11am with funeral services immediately following at 11:00am all at Jackman Kercheval Meyers Funeral Home in Harrison, OH. Rev. Dr. Harold Shackelford officiating. Burial will be in the Kentucky Veterans Cemetery North in Williamstown, KY.
