Margaret J. Combs

Margaret J. Combs, age 81 years of Fairfield, OH passed away Thursday, May 7, 2009 in Fairfield, OH. Born December 18, 1927 in Harlan, KY, she was the daughter of the late Till & Josie (McWilliams) Burrows. She married James C. Combs in Whitesburg, KY in 1946. He preceded her in death on November 20, 1970. Mrs. Combs retired from Avon and was a member of the Pilgrims Home Old Regular Baptist Church in Milan, IN. Mrs. Combs is survived by her children Jerry (Larue) Combs of Elizabethtown, OH; Betty (Rick) Lewis of Fairfield, OH; Sandra K. (Marvin) Street of Hamilton, OH; Danny (Karen) Combs of Fairfield, OH; Jeffery (Darlene) Combs of New Baltimore, OH and the late James E. Combs who died as an infant. She will also be missed by 16 grandchildren & 29 great grandchildren. In addition to her parents, husband and son, she was preceded in death by 1 grandson & 1 great grandson and siblings Billy, Olan & Tommy Burrows, Dorothy Collier, Reba Daniels & Eva Combs. Visitation will be Monday, May 11, 2009 from 4-7pm followed by services at 7pm all at Jackman Kercheval Meyers Funeral Home, Harrison, OH with Pastor John Niehaus officiating. Burial will be in the Combs Family Cemetery in Kingdom Come, KY on Tuesday at 3:00pm. Memorials are suggested to Cleves Explorers c/o the funeral home.
