Madeleine Carroll Doherty, age 73 years of Metamora, IN formerly of Brookville, IN passed away Tuesday, April 5, 2011 in Metamora, IN. Born August 9, 1937 in Cincinnati, OH she was the daughter of Robert & Grace (Herancourt) Doyle. On Nov. 27, 1954 she married Lawrence Doherty in Cincinnati, OH. Madeleine was owner/operator of Maggies Restaurant. Madeleine is survived by her husband Lawrence Doherty Sr., children Lawrence (Celestia) Doherty Jr. of Brookville, IN; Robert (Peggy) Doherty of Oldenburg, IN; Dennis (Susan) Doherty of Brookville, IN; Sue (Joseph) Balzer of Evendale, OH; Timothy Doherty of Greendale, IN; Kathleen Doherty of Metamora, IN & John (Anita) Doherty of Sunman, IN. She will also be missed by 17 grandchildren, 13 great grandchildren, and siblings Ilene Murphy of Harrison, OH; John R. Doyle of Harrison, OH; Alice Schmitt of Delhi, OH and the late George Doyle, Elizabeth Robbers, Margaret Schill, Anna Whitton, Cathryn Vaught, Patrick Doyle, Arthur Doyle, James Doyle & Julia Stamm.
