Lori Rae Hargis

Lori Rae Hargis, age 49, of Cedar Grove, Indiana, suddenly passed away on Tuesday, October 3, 2023 in Cedar Grove.

Born the daughter of Lorin and Betty (Winkelman) Hargis on Tuesday, February 5, 1974, in Cincinnati, Ohio, Lori was a 1992 graduate of East Central High School and was a print-presser for a local bookmaker.

Lori is survived by her special friend, Jim Miller, her mother Betty Hargis, her siblings, Michael Ray Hargis and Heather Ann (Larry McAllister) Hargis, and aunt and uncles Chuck (Brenda) Winkelman and Candy (Jimmy) Smith.

She was preceded in death by her son, Dakota Lee Gaskins.

Visitation will be held on Monday, October 9, 2023 from 5:00 P.M. until time of funeral services at 7:00 P.M., with Pastor Shawn Crisman officiating, all at Jackman Hensley Funeral Home, 215 East Broadway Street, Harrison, Ohio 45030.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorials be made in Lori’s memory to American SIDS Institute, 528 Raven Way, Naples, Florida 34110 or to the American Heart Association, P.O. Box 840692, Dallas, Texas 75284-0692, or place in care of the funeral home.
