Lois Jane Harper

Lois Jane Harper, age 69 years of Harrison, OH passed away Thursday, May 8, 2008 in Cincinnati, OH. Born August 11, 1938 in Hamilton, OH she was the daughter of the late Charles B. & Thelma E. (Longnecker) Hawk. She married Harold James Harper on March 29, 1958 at Crosby United Methodist Church. She was a teacher from Southwest Local School District retiring in 1993, retired Crosby Twp. Trustee, Volunteer Ham. Co. Park District, member of the Ohio Education Assoc., Crosby Twp. Historical Society, Pioneer Hobby & Antique Club & Crosby Twp. Senior Center where she enjoyed playing chair volleyball. Mrs. Harper is survived by her husband Harold James Harper; children Mark J. (Kathy) Harper of Wyoming, OH; Matthew C. (Rachel) Harper of Harrison, OH & Nancy L. (Steve) Verkley of Harrison, OH. She will also be missed by her sister Norma Jean (Herb) Biermann and grandchildren Sgt. Jason USMC, Christopher, Amanda & Matthew Harper, Ethan, Ellie, Eric & Emma Verkley and step granddaughter Briana Looney. Visitation will be Saturday, May 10, 2008 from 10:30 AM until time of service at 12:30 PM all at Jackman Kercheval Meyers Funeral Home in Harrison, OH with Pastor Jodie McFarland officiating. Burial will be in New Haven Cemetery. Memorials are suggested to Hamilton County SPCA &/or Crosby Twp. Life Squad.
