Lester New

Lester New, age 91 years of W. Harrison, IN passed away Saturday, August 16, 2008 in Cincinnati, OH. Born November 21, 1916 in McCleary County, KY he was the son of the late Samuel & Laura (Black) New. He married Lucille Perry on May 3, 1941 in Jellico, TN. Mr. New is survived by his children Pat Acra of W. Harrison, IN; Laura (Ken Gunkel) Wiggins of W. Harrison, IN; William Terry New of Kokomo, IN & Alma Sue (Tom) Herdon of Aurora, IN; 12 grandchildren, 19 great grandchildren and brother Cecil New of Louisville, KY. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife Lucille New and siblings James New, Wilburn New, Ethel Coffey, Adie Worley, Carl New, Elsie Keith, Geneva Kidd, Homer New & Roy New. Visitation will be Saturday, August 23, 2008 from 11:00am until time of memorial services at 12:00 pm at Jackman Kercheval Meyers Funeral Home in Harrison, OH with Pastor John Dolittle officiating. Memorials are suggested to Drake Hospice.
