Leo Robert Minges beloved husband of Mildred and loving mother of Judy (Larry) Huffman of Ross, Sharon (Richard) Dole of Harrison, Virginia (David) Murphy of Millville, Connie (John) Smith of Okeana and Larry (Chris) Minges of Millville, Leo (Jennifer) Minges of Okeana, Danny (Lora) Minges of Millville, Bob(Patty) Minges of Okeana, and Jerry (Karen) Minges of Shandon. Dear brother of Walter (late Janet) Minges of Harrison, Leonard (late Wilma) Minges of New Haven and Allen (Gayle) Minges of Mt. Carmel, IN. Grandfather of 29 and great grandfather to 9, passed away Friday, July 4, 2008 at his residence in Okeana, OH at age 83. Born May 6, 1925 in New Haven, OH to Walter & Catherine (Wurtzler) Minges, he was a life long farmer on his farm in Okeana. He graduated from W.H.H.H.S. in 1943, and married Mildred (Kendrick) on January 17, 1948 in Harrison, OH. Along with farming he loved hunting, fishing and was a great baseball fan. He was a member of St. John the Baptist Church in Harrison. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brothers, Frank & Alfred Minges and by 1 grandson and 1 great granddaughter. Visitation Tuesday 4-8pm at Jackman Kercheval Meyers Funeral Home, Harrison, OH and Mass of Christian Burial Wednesday, July 9 at 10am at St. John the Baptist Church, Harrison. Memorials can be given to Cancer Research, Hospice of Cincinnati or St. John the Baptist Church.
