Laborn B. "Bud" Jones

Laborn B. "Bud" Jones, age 76 years of W. Harrison, IN passed away Thursday, March 13, 2008 in W. Harrison. Born November 15, 1931 in Manchester, KY he was the son of the late John & Daisy (Hibbart) Jones. He married Jane Goins on March 31, 1952 in Manchester, KY. He was a minister for 45 years & a volunteer Fireman for 10 years. Mr. Jones was a member of the Lakeview Pentecostal Church in Laurel, IN. He is survived by his daughters Thelma Alcorn of W. Harrison, IN & Judy "Harold" Colley of Greensburg, IN; sister Thelma Henson of Harrison, OH & brothers Joe & Ed Jones both of W. Harrison, IN; grandchildren Mattie Rose Colley-White, James Perry & Isaiah Perry and great grandchildren Donnie R. White IV & Payton Perry. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife Jane Jones, son Roy Jones and sisters Malvary Harris & Rose Patrick. Visitation will be Monday, March 17, 2008 from 12noon-2pm followed by services at 2:00pm at Jackman Kercheval Meyers Funeral Home in Harrison, OH with Rev. Walter Dunn & Rev. Henry Weaver officiating. Burial will be in Gibson Cemetery in Bright, IN. Memorials are suggested to the American Heart & Lung Assoc., Harrison or Bright Fire & EMS or Dearborn County Hospice.
