L. Raye Grubbs

L. Raye Grubbs, age 56 years of W. Harrison, IN passed away Saturday, February 25, 2006 in Cincinnati, OH. Born March 24, 1949 in Hamilton, OH he was the son of Alice (Moak) and the late Floyd Grubbs. He retired in 1970 from the Marines and was also in the Army from 1972-1974. He was a Sergeant 1st Class during Vietnam. Mr. Grubbs was a member of the Harrison VFW #7570. Mr. Grubbs is survived by his mother Alice Grubbs of W. Harrison, IN; sisters Faye Hicks of Bright, IN and Darlene (Dennis) Emery of W. Harrison, IN and son Billy of Florida. He will also be missed by several nieces and nephews. In addition to his father, he was preceded in death by his brothers Donald & Roy "Buddy" Grubbs. Visitation will be Monday, February 27, 2006 from 5-8pm at Jackman Kercheval Meyers Funeral Home in Harrison, OH. Services will be Tuesday at 10:30 am at the funeral home with Rev. Dr. Harold Shackelford officiating. Burial will be in Gibson Cemetery with military graveside rites by the Harrison Funeral Detail. Memorials are suggested to Hospice of Cincinnati &/or Drewersburg Life Squad.
