Kayla Marie Duerler, age 16, of Harrison, Ohio went home to be with the Lord Wednesday, August 8, 2018. Born July 12, 2002 in Teaneck, New Jersey, the daughter of Jeff Duerler and Julie (Haynes) Duerler.
Kayla was a Junior at William Henry Harrison High School. She enjoyed participating in color guard in the marching band and was selected to be one of the Drum Majors in the upcoming season. She worked behind the scenes in the stage crew for drama club and performed with high academic honors. Kayla was a faithful member of LifeSpring Community Church and served on the Leadership Team for Student Ministries.
Survived by her beloved parents Jeff and Julie Duerler, sister Rachel Duerler, maternal grandparents Russell (Peggy) Haynes and paternal grandparents Dave (Micky) Duerler. Also survived by aunts and uncles Michael (Lynn) Haynes, Cindy (Rowan) Rodgers, Sarah (Mark) Moore, Keith (Lisa) Duerler and Tim (Amy) Duerler. Dear cousin of Nicole Haynes, Trevor Rodgers, Collin, Emily, Nathan, Luciana, and Naomi Duerler.
Memorial service will be held Saturday, August 11, 2018 1:00 P.M. at Harrison High School Activity Center 9845 West Road Harrison, Ohio 45030.
